Foster parents must have reliable transportation, the ability to attend vet appointments, attend adoption events on weekends and scheduled Meet and Greets in your home, and currently reside in Sarasota or Manatee Counties.
You must have a dedicated room in your home for fostering. Generally speaking, a spare bathroom would suffice for a short-term foster. Foster pets and personal pets are not to share space. (This is to protect your pets and the rescue's pets.)
Potential foster parents must be able to provide proof of current vaccinations for all pets in their home. A home inspection will be required.

High school teens: Are you looking for Community Service hours? Whether it's helping with adoption events, fundraising events, or assisting in a foster home, we can help you earn your hours!
Adults: Are you looking to help, but can't foster or can't foster year-round? Great! We need your help, too!* There are several options available, including but not limited to: fundraisers, data entry, assisting at events, photography, social media, transporting animals when needed, trapping assistance, or even short-term fostering/vacation relief/emergency backup plan. Email us and we'll find the right fit for you!
(*We are currently not accepting adult volunteers who are fulfilling criminal probation requirements.)
