About Us
Purrfect Match, Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3), no-kill cat rescue located in Sarasota, Florida. We partner with local kill shelters to save homeless cats and kittens that may otherwise be euthanized.
We also help community cats who cross our path.
While in foster care, our cats and kittens receive the care needed before being matched with their forever family. Before becoming available for adoption, our cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age appropriate), tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and microchipped. Any medical or behavioral issues they present with are corrected to the best of our ability prior to adoption.
If a community cat is deemed unadoptable due to feral behavior, we trap, neuter/spay, vaccinate, and release (TNVR) them back to the community they came from. (We take care of any medical issues they may have before releasing them.) If they are adoptable, or show signs that they may become adoptable, they are placed in a foster home when space permits.
Rescue Ambassador
Cujo is a semi-feral community cat that we trapped, neutered, vaccinated, and released. For almost two years prior to trapping him, we could not get close enough to touch him. In fact, he was proud to earn his name, Cujo. In December 2025, Cujo suffered an unexpected stroke that left him unable to walk properly. He also has hyperthyroidism. Cujo isn't adoptable, but that doesn't mean he should be euthanized. He will instead be our Rescue Ambassador. Your donations allow us to continue to provide care to Cujo and others who have been deemed unadoptable, whether due to severe medical issues, behavioral issues, or no interest from the public to adopt.
